- Novice Division- Beginner level who dances a maximum of 2-3 hours a week, recreational level
- Intermediate Division- Intermediate level who dances 3-5 hours a week
- Advanced Division- Advance level who dances 5+ hours a week

Age Divisions
The age division for all routines is determined by the average age of the performers as of January 1st, 2024.
- 5 & Under = Mini
- 6-8 = Petite
- 9-11 = Junior
- 12-14 = Teen
- 15-18 = Senior
- 18+ = Adult category
Entry Types
- Solo (1 dancer) – $75 per entry
- Duet/Trio (2-3 dancers) – $125 per entry
- Small Group (4-9 dancers) – $175 per entry
- Large groups (10-18 dancers) – $250 per entry
- Productions (19 or more) – $295 per entry
Props
Dancers may use props that are appropriate for family viewing and do not pose a danger to the dancers or judges. Props must be moved on and off stage in a timely manner. There will not be electricity provided for props, so plan on using batteries.
Time Limit by Entry Type
- Solo – 3 minutes
- Duet/Trio – 3 minutes
- Small Group – 4 minutes
- Large Group – 4 minutes
- Production – 10 minutes (includes prop set-up and entrance/exit time)
Scoring
Each of the three judges will award up to 100 points based on the following criteria while taking Age Division and Level into consideration:
- Technique: 40 percent
- Performance: 30 percent
- Musicality/Timing: 20 percent
- Choreography: 10 percent
Studios will receive their digital scoring along with audio of the judges critiques for each entry after the competition via DanceBug.
There are four awards issued:
- Gold: 0-199
- High Gold: 200-239
- Platinum: 240-269
- Diamond: 270-300
All dancers that participate in the competition will receive an award for their entry.
Overall competition awards will be announced Sunday night in person and via live-stream. Awards that are not picked up Sunday night in person can be picked up in Deerfield the week following the competition.
